Lorraine Gill Galleries - The Hughenden Valley Series

Pink Man Comes

When white men colonised Australia, they invaded in the usual way of raising a flag.

A flag would not mean all that much to an Aboriginal person who had existed for thousands of years on that land.

The ways of relating to land were alien to each other - therefore conflict. It has only been in recent history that stories have been told by both sides.

This etching is about the the arrival of strangers.

Prints are available and have the option to be hand signed by Lorraine, they have a limited print run of 250 and are individually numbered.
