Lorraine Gill Galleries - The Clapham Road Series
Instruments
A few days ago I visited the Victoria and Albert Museum with an old friend. I had not seen it since the mid seventies it is now 2007.Once upon a time, my memory informs me, the museum was rather Dickensian with pockets of dusty old artefacts hiding in corners to be discovered. A magical mystery tour of wonders to go back to years later.
It was then I found the glass case of musical instruments with all of their own memories and exquisite craftsmanship so carefully placed behind the glass pane.
I wondered at how many other memories they had given to others so long ago.
