Lorraine Gill Galleries - The Clapham Road Series

I had been privileged to meet the legend in her own lifetime, Margaret McCall, BBC producer, who had made most of the great films on Artists in the seventies. Through John Berger who had honored me by writing about my work, Margaret was introduced to me in her quest for a person who could speak of Paul Cezanne in a programme about the same.

We became solid friends and I would visit her house in Deal.

The light was cream and milk on the sea-front, and sometimes boats would appear without form; gradually taking shape.

This etching is about Form Becoming.
