Lorraine Gill Galleries - The Clapham Road Series
Crucifixion One
This etching was inspired by an old photograph of a victim of war being threatened by his captor standing behind him. The image was graphic in terms of oppression - the ultimate bullying of another human being. The people are not identifiable; only abstract shapes of a cloaked presence behind a curved white stripe indicates the feeling of the scene.
