Lorraine Gill Galleries - The Outback Series
Outback FantasyThe heat in the Outback during the summer bleaches much colour from Australia, and a haze of misty paleness hovers over the land. The wind- shift can change the sand from stillness to patterns overnight; usually, in the distance, there is an old ruin struggling to be seen, left over, from some heroic epic, to survive.
I have placed an imaginary bird on the top right-hand corner; it is more symbolic than realistic in terms of Ideas and Imagination, which can run riot in the stark wildernesses of the Outback.Painted 2002. (released 19th Dec, 2006)
