Lorraine Gill Galleries - The Kraken Series
The Kraken Begins To Surface
The Kraken lurks just below the waves where only small units of colour show us it is lurking - its colours are only barely visible through the optics of the wave's motion.
Looking at the waves and undulations of the sea can give rise to displacements of shapes and colours.
The black and white triangles represent the shape and shadow of the peaks of waves and the small gold triangles repeat this rhythm.
White is the reflection of light upon the surface of the waves.
